Water Rights

Liquafaction's Water Rights

By weight, the largest single input to an ethanol plant is water. Modern ethanol plants, even with recycling and reuse, use 3 or 4 gallons of water for each gallon of ethanol produced. Most of this water is given off as water vapor.

Liquafaction has industrial water rights for 800 acre feet (260 million gallons) and agricultural water rights for 137 acre feet per year.  The 800 acre feet well has less than 160 mg/l total dissolved solids.  View the well test report by clicking the following link:  800 Acre Feet Well Test Report(This report describes a 16" diameter, 640 feet deep well using a 175 HP pump with a flow of 490 gallons per minute).  The original well drill log can be seen here: Water Well Report.

The following is a map depicting the well in reference to the Moses Lake Ethanol Plant.  The well is number 293531.
